The Palm Phone Review/Cover By Shazil Butt
Welcome to another day, another article. This article about the tiny, tiny look at my hands. Look at my smartwatch. The tiny, tiny little palm foam. Right. That I unbox recently you probably saw on boxing video.
OK, so this phone right now, the only way to get it is to buy it for 350 dollars from Verizon a compliment to your mean phone.
So that means you need to have a variety in line and you need to have Tindall’s extra on that Verizon line per month to use this phone. And the two Sims are linked. Right.
So basically right now, you need to pay 350 and ten dollars a month extra on top of a normal rising wireless line with a data plan. So it’s a lot of money.
Now, of course, that’s the only way to get the phone. But say, you know, you can fight, you get the phone some other way. You can use it on another network. It is unlocked.
And I’m going to show you today how to change the SIM and prove to you that it works on the network with any SIM. So as you can see right now, this is running on Verizon. We’ve got 4G network connectivity here.
If I go into the settings, Horizon Wireless is the network. so that’s pretty clear. All right. So the big deal here is a lot of people, first of all, don’t know that you can change the SIM card.
And if they do know that you can change the SIM card, don’t know how to change a SIM card.
So I’ve got a T-Mobile SIM here. Right. Just a standard T-Mobile. Sam, you can see here, if we can focus. You go. And I have a little SIM tool that I created. It’s very, very small. It’s basically a point 5 millimeter diameter piece of metal that I have bent so that there is a little fishy end here and something for me to grab onto at the other end.
OK. So you need to find a very small piece of metal for this. And the trick is, unlike other forms where you push into the hole here in this phone, you need to pull.
So let me show you that right now I need to position my tool properly. once I have it in here, all I do is pull, which takes a bit of effort. There you go. I pull on this.
And nowhere is the horizon thim. OK, so Horizon SIM, no big deal.
All right. So now the phone went to sleep. That’s no big deal.
OK, so the phone’s still working and clearly, there is no SIM. It shows you that. So the SIM trees are in here. I’m going to put this T-Mobile SIM in the same tray as it should be.
So here we are. T-Mobile SIM is in the same tray. And now I’m going to insert this back in here and boom. All right. Now what happens? The SIM card is not from Verizon. Do not care. Boom.
4G, LTE still. So let’s go into settings and it’s going into the network is T-Mobile. Let’s drill down into this advanced. Sorry, HPN. Here we go. So T-Mobile US. Perfect. So here we go. Let’s surf the web.
Mobile tech podcasts, dot com. That’s my podcast.
And you can see, this is no cheating. I am on 4G, just many of the bars of T-Mobile 4G right here launching my podcast. So this just works. There is no issue here. And again, if you go in the settings, you can see that we are running on T-Mobile.
So network Internet T-Mobile. So now I’m going to flop this again. Bear with me here. There we go. Now, I need some leverage for this.
So there we go. So I pulled the SIM card out and I’m going to put the Horizon SIM back in there.
And that’s basically the gist of this little exercise.
I wanted to show you how you can easily swap the SIM on your palm device. There we go. Now, we should be back on Verizon in one second. Verizon Wireless, 4G, LTE.
There you go, folks. That was the point of this video re nothing too much about it.
Just wanted to show you that you can indeed enjoy this device on another network and use it as a regular phone. There’s no magic going on here. It’s unlocked like a lot of horizon phones. But of course, the trick is to get it through dollars upfront. 10$ a month and rising in addition to another horizon line.
But if you have another horizon line, maybe the 10$ a month is not a bad deal. And then you can buy the phone and maybe cancel the ten dollars a month and put another SIM in there and you get to go. Saw that you are al earlier. Tell your friends.
All right, stay tuned for more articles. Cheers, everybody.
