The ZenBook S, StudioBook S, And Mothership/Cover By Shazil Butt
Welcome to CSX 2019. This is the assistant bookcase. This is the new 1 that they launched here at the show. So I’m going to add a bit of a preview, kind of an exclusive look at it. It’s very sexy, you can see.
The thing you’ll notice right away is that this is kind of looks like a 12-inch laptop, but this is almost a 14-inch screen, 13.9 inches.
Because of this insanely thin bezzle all the way around it. And the way they were achieving this, is by cramming a bigger panel they can with as battle. But they still haven’t lost the camera noticed. It’s not in a key like some of this. Why?
With laptops? It’s not at the bottom like the Express from now.
It’s right up here. So we’ve managed to cram a little a camera in to do that. You get this kind of little bubble thing here that is really cool because when you close the laptop, you can see it’s highlighted nicely. You just lift it up and put it out.
There you are. So that’s kind of one of the nice things about this laptop that really defines it as a unique product.
The thing to understand, though, is that that comes with some limitations. No touchscreen. And this is a tiny DP panel. That’s all you’re gonna get.
So in terms of specs, otherwise, it’s quite 5, quite seven, 8 gigs around were up to 16 gigs, 256 gigs of storage, up to 1 terabyte fingerprint reader rate in the trackpad, very, very ASUS. This is unibody all Madell right.
As you can see, there are shampooed edges machined and they cure like a circular brush pattern. And here you’ve got like this kind of sideways brush pattern.
And what’s interesting is the edges of metal, but they’re painted.
And of course, the bottom is a metal panel. So nothing’s really changed from the traditional design. You still have the Urgo lift hinge, you can see here, burgoo lift. So it kind of lifts the keyboard a little bit when you open it.
And yeah, this is pretty much a continuation of the designs we saw from ASUS before, I guess, computer 2013, et cetera, et cetera.
Now, other than the specs already give you, you can see on the edges you have to use SBC. And then there’s a micro SD card slot on this side. And then on the other side, I love this part here, the thin book series.
And this side you get standard USP three, which is really nice headphone jack notification LCD.
I mean, hard drives and charging are pretty standard fare for a souce.
And of course, the keyboard is backlit, which you get back. So I’m not sure what the pricing details on this. But, you know, it’s going to be priced like others and book S.S. It’s gonna be a premium, higher-end product, but not like out of the insanely expensive either, so.
Well, we’ll tell you. we know more. But that’s the news in the book. Here it’s. Yes, 2019.
Hey, welcome back to see us 2019 with a souce device.
This is a new line of devices from a success called the studio book. It is a really, really lovely large laptop, a 17-inch display designed specifically for creative people, video editors, people who do, you know, create and design all day.
Notice the trackpad has this cool number pad built-In with tactic tactics or feedback’s this week or when you click on it, you can feel it just like a MacBook.
But with the Numpad, there’s a fingerprint reader here and a nice backlit display. And, you know, it’s a pretty big machine. But the thing here, the reasoning in this is that like basically carrying a desktop with you everywhere you go.
And the way they did that is by putting an internal Xeon processor in here.
So it’s kind of amazing, really, like in terms of specs. It has a Quattro video card. Let’s see if I can log in here. There you go. So you see, it has a large display and it’s driven by a Quattro video card, which I think is really, really cool.
I’m looking at the specs here. It’s the PS3 200 Quantrell from an Invidia.
So in terms of like performance with the GPO performance, this thing’s not gonna let you down. Intel Zeon, which is kind of amazing.
There’s up to 64 gigs of storage sorry of RAM. And then storage goes to four terabytes of SSD, which is, you know, quite the beast, So let’s have a look quickly at the ports on the side.
You can see there are lots of vents because there’s separate cooling for the GPO in the C.P.U, of course, Kensington Lock.
You got a power connector, USP Type C, HDMI, USP three headphone standard size SD card.
And then on the other side, you got 2 more U.S. B three ports, which is pretty awesome. I presume that this does thunderbolt because it should since that secretly SBC portal on here. Lots of cooling. Right.
Which, you know, you need for a laptop like this. But this is cool because this says, you know, so far it’s always been about the Zen books.
And, you know, there’s her present book, Caroline, well. But this, you know, kind of kept cranking things up a notch for creatives.
You know, video folk, graphic designers, that sort of thing. So let’s see a suit studio book with the cool Numpad trackpad and some really cool aspects. Back at See US 2019 with a souce lineup. This is a republic of gamers are Oji look.
Looks like a gaming laptop, right? But haha Lillo, do you know this is a pretty heavy machine, but it’s a gaming machine.
When you go like this, you push down on it. A little thing comes out in the back.
There’s a glow. And more importantly, the keyboard comes down like that. So what you really have is kind of like a gaming workstation that you can take with you. And the best part is that the keyboard disconnects at that point.
You can fold it over like this and use a separate keyboard. It’s wired to wireless.
But if you want a wired, you have a USP type C connection here. And so, you know, basically, it’s kind of versatile.
If you want to use another keyboard, you can do that with a dongle. You don’t have to be stuck with this, but basically, it makes a more comfortable gaming experience. So that’s basically this is the design of this saying, and it is really very cool.
You know you’ve got this hinge here and then this goes like this and cool. You know, cooling stuff is pretty heavy. But let’s talk about the specs really quickly. This thing is a monster. You saw the display. It’s a 17-inch display.
It’s got 10 GDP. Doesn’t seem that high rise, but that’s 144-hertz refresh rate,3 millisecond response times.
So for gamers, that’s what we want. Core 9 is the main c.p.u in there.
And there’s an Archie X 2084 on Invidia chipset in there for graphics, for g.p. Separate cooling, of course. All that good stuff. 64 gigs of RAM, 1.5 terabytes of storage, roughly 5 Busia, 5 512 tarab gigabyte SSD.
Three of them,2 of them are connected to the C.P.U. So it’s not going through the chipset except for one of them, which is really cool.
So basically, again, stuff that gamers want. You know, there’s, I believe gigabit 2.5 gigabits. So-net, there is a Wi-Fi six on a bunch of other stuff. So let’s look at the ports.
There’s a Thunderball here, you can see, SBC. This is our USP 3 headphone microphone. You’ve got that gigabit 2.5-gigabit connector. You’ve got USP 3. And then on the other side here, you got more ports.
You got many charged ports, HDMI, USP 3, another SBC probably Thunderbolt-equipped sub, and an SD card.
So, you know, if you really want to, you can use this machine for video editing. But I think what really makes us cool again is the push on this. You get this down, you know, you get this here.
And then if you want to touch it, boom, you’ve got a completely new experience on a gaming laptop. So that’s basically what we have here with our Oji mothership.
That’s what it’s called. It’s crazy, crazy, awesome. So stay tuned for more articles.
Tell your friends about everything and we’ll see you soon. Cheers.
