The Moto Edge+ Unboxing/Cover By Shazil Butt
Welcome to Another Day, another unboxing. This is the moto edge, plus Todai. Yes, I have one.
Here’s what the box looks like. And there’s not much around. Roll out over here. Some stuff in the back and Qualcomm’s stuff I made at the bottom. So I’m not going to show you that. But let’s unbox us together, shall we?
Does that add to that? Nothing inside. We’ve got the phone right here in the middle.
And we’ve got a divider with some documentation. Let’s see what’s in here.
So we’ve got important consumer safety info, a SIM removal tool, a Motorola edge. Plus, read me and.
Something else. Not sure are legal safety, regulatory stuff. Let’s have a quick look at this just in case it’s interesting. And we go shows you all the controls and all the different features. How to get started. Yeah. About it all.
And so now let’s look at the rest of the box. You got a charging break here.
Now, the phone supports up to 18 was charging. So I’m assuming this is going to be an aging white charger. But I’ll put it in here below to let you know what the specs are on this. And we’ve got a UNspeak cable right here.
That’s type C, of course, you can see there Type C to type A.. Nothing too surprising here.
I don’t think there’s anything else in this box. No headphones or kind of other hardware. There it is. So we can slide it out like that. Nice and convenient.
And Lou, that is a nice phone. Look at that fingerprint magnets, I expect that is going to get really messy really quickly. You see that triple camera system on the back with the Moto logo here.
Yeah, very nice. So let’s turn it on first and I’ll walk you through some of the features it boots up.
So the first thing to know, you can see very clearly, this is a waterfall display. It’s one of that kind of really intense waterfall displays that goes by halfway down the sides. You can see it there it pulsates, they go. So, yeah, it’s like they made 30 pros, basically.
So there is a setup screen and yes. So this is a 6 point, 7 inches, um, a display tenny, DP, not quite HD, 90 hertz, so 6.7, very little bezels tops.
And the bottom, you can see, it is got a hole punch camera here. 25 megapixel F over 2. o point 9 microns.
It does quite beaning on that front camera. So that’s kind of interesting.
The only thing that’s missing from this displays Cordish G nine here. It’s fine. 120 could be better. But honestly, you’re past that, you hurt. It doesn’t really matter too much in terms of fluidity.
There’s a headphone jack. That’s another thing you need to know. Very exciting.
But let me talk about the specs a little quicker. So this is in the US, an exclusive to Rising, and that’s unfortunate. You’re not going to go by this form on lock.
There’ll be a moto edge not plus available unlocked by it’s got some nice suspects and there’s not what the topic of this unboxing is. But for this phone, they use their Snapdragon 8. 65.
Of course, 12 gigs of RAM to 50, 60 years of storage.
No micro SD support, but it does have 2 flavors of 5G has a low band like a sub 6, which Ryazan hasn’t really rolled out, but it’s future-proofing and it has millimeter wave from the horizon, which is available in very few markets.
And really, frankly, I’m not going to get millimeter wave on this phone.
I’m going to get 5G at all in this fall. So that’s a bummer. And that’s because the markets for 5G on rising are limited at this time.
So long you’re aware of that if you decide to get this phone of a horizon that you market probably won’t have 5G support for a while. You know, that’s a good thing to know.
All right. So that’s it in terms of specs, display from the camera. There’s an in-display fingerprint sensor down here.
You can’t see it, but it’s there. I’m going to talk about the cameras next, but I want to quickly talk about the battery. This is a 5000 million ball battery, which is pretty massive, which is great when 5G becomes a thing.
But until then, you’re going to easily get 2 days of use out of this phone.
It’s gonna be pretty awesome. So let’s look at the back real quick before I give you the tour of everything else. So that’s what the phone looks like. There are 2 colors, this grayish color here and a kind of purplish color.
And then you can see, this design is very, very slick. There is basically a glass sandwich here, glass front and glass back with an aluminum frame.
And the cameras are quite bonkers. So the main camera here, it’s clearly the big one is a 108-megapixel sensor with F over 1.8.8 micron pixels and of course, all eyes, and they quod been these pixels four into one to get 27-megapixel photos with 1.6-micron pixels.
And of course, you know that improves performance in a light, significantly not streamy.
This is supposedly a very similar sensor to what we’ve seen on the Galaxy. S 20 Ultra. But on this phone they’re not doing 9 to one, meaning they’re doing 4 to 1 minute.
So that’s an odd little thing. Now we’ve got an ultra-wide one of these 2 is an ultra-wide.
That ultra-wide is a 16 megapixel F over 2.2 1 micron pixel. And it has autofocus, which basically means you’ll be able to do microphotography with this ultra-wide.
And the third camera is an 8 megapixel telephoto with 1-micron pixel F over 2.4 aperture and a 3 times optical zoom. Of course, OIS and autofocus. Really cool stuff now.
And that little pod below, you can see there is an LAPD flash you can’t really see it too. but there is a depth-sensing camera in there.
Basically a projector and receiver. So that’s going to be helpful for things like Aaliyah and stuff like that.
Now the Motorola go in the back is not a fingerprint sensor like it is on a lot of mobile phones. But yeah, that’s basically the specs on this beast and a beast. It is. It’s a beautiful display. It’s got studio audio. So, Scott, that your piece up here and a bottom-firing speaker.
So I should probably show you the edges. There is a USP type C port down here with the same slot and the main speaker firing down here.
There’s a microphone down there. If you see it, there it is. And there’s another microphone up here by the camera.
So there are a whole bunch of mikes all over this place. Then on top, I showed you the headphone jack, which is really exciting to see on a flagship. And then on the right-hand side, you’ve got the power lock key, which is ridged, which is nice.
You can feel it. And the volume rocker on the left-hand side, there’s really nothing on edge at all. So that’s the phone.
That’s the layout. That’s what you have to look forward to. And I’m super excited.
I think this is a really competitive phone for the money in the specs. My biggest gripe so far off the top of my head is that it doesn’t. Come on, locked. You have to buy through Horizon. And because of that, it supports a millimeter wave, which makes it more expensive and complicated.
And I really wish that they were making this form available. Sub 6 only, you know, low band 5G unlocked for like a 99799 compete directly with 1plus. So. Yeah. That’s it,
